Judith Sheldon, PMHNP
Judith Sheldon is a board certified and licensed Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 25 years of experience providing exceptional, compassionate, and evidence-based care to her patients. She obtained her Associates of Science degree in nursing in 1992 from Prairie State College in Chicago Heights, IL. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in 2001 and her Master of Science degree in nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2013 from Olivet Nazarene University, and later received certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from University of St. Francis. Judy has extensive experience in a variety of healthcare settings, such as critical care, trauma care, and substance abuse. She is also well versed in providing for patients with acute and chronic healthcare needs. She focuses on creating a safe and non-judgmental environment for her patients to discuss their physical and psychiatric needs while encouraging them to participate actively in the treatment process. In 2008, Judy began shifting her focus toward substance abuse treatment and mental health and has worked in three different treatment programs since then. During this time, she has witnessed the close relationship between addiction and mental health issues. Judy provides many services including buprenorphine (Suboxone), naltrexone (Vivitrol) as well as many others. Appointments can be made by calling the main office number.
