Suzette Papadakis,
LCPC, NCC, CGT

Suzette has worked since 1996 in the mental health and addiction field, providing mental health care to individuals, couples and families. She has worked with a wide range of issues such as addiction and recovery, affairs, domestic violence, trauma, and parenting issues. She is a Certified Gottman Therapist and has expertise in treating couples with addiction issues. Additionally, she is trained in EMDR therapy (level 1 and 2) by the EMDRIA Institute, and is a certified facilitator in the Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP) program. She has also received recognition by the National Honor Society for Human Service Education. Suzette has received several honors for her contributions in mental health. In 2016 she was awarded The Best Clinical Director of IL and was recognized in the Who’s Who Honors in Professional Excellence. She is also listed in Cambridge Who’s Who for Executives and Professionals. The American Psychiatric Association awarded her for her role as a collaborating researcher in the DSM-5. The American Counseling Association has also acknowledged Suzette for her trauma work with students at NIU and VT tragedies. Suzette holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She also holds a Master's Degree in Human Services Counseling, graduating Magna Cum Laude from National-Louis University in Wheaton, Illinois.
